Taylor; Superintendent Patricia DeBoer; <br /> Mashpee Schools Director of Technology Sean Moroney; Fire Chief Thomas Rullo; <br /> Deputy Fire Chief John Phelan; Information Technology Director David DelVecchio <br /> Also Present: Selectman Carol Sherman, School Business Manager Paul Funk; Assistant <br /> Superintendent of Schools Hope Hanscom; School Committee Member George <br /> Schmidt; Human Resources director Kimberly Landry; Payroll Administrator Susan <br /> Lumping <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Collins at 1:16 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Popponesset Meeting Room <br /> APPOINTMENTS& HEARINGS <br /> School Department FY2020 Budget: $932,000 <br /> Patricia DeBoer, Superintendent of Schools presented a budget of capital requests for fiscal <br /> year 2020, there are no prior year obligations for the School in the CIP. The requests are <br /> separated into two categories, the first are mostly school building requests and the second is <br /> for technology. <br /> Sa et -Security Upgrades-All Schools Total Funds: $110,000 <br /> Selectman Gottlieb asked if this proposal would complete all the School Department's security <br /> needs and Superintendent DeBoer responded in the affirmative. There were no more questions <br /> on this item. <br /> MMHS Auditorium Sound System Total Funds:$25,000 <br /> Patricia DeBoer said that the current system is the original one installed twenty-two years ago <br /> and is not working well. Assistant Town Manager Wayne Taylor stated that the situation of not <br /> being able to hear when on the stage is terrible. School Technology Director Sean Moroney <br /> stated that the sound is currently coming from the side and they need to be rebalanced and <br /> adjustable speakers will help. <br /> MMHS Auditorium Lighting 5 stem Total Funds: $100,000 <br /> Patricia DeBoer said that the current system is "glitchy" and very old, and Sean Moroney added <br /> that LED lighting would be preferred due to a lesser cost to run but the up-front cost is a lot. <br /> 2 <br />
