• Review of Visibility Issue for Human services. Gail Wilson stated that the topic of <br /> making the Human services website more educational and more user friendly was discussed at the <br /> meeting with Joyce Mason. .Jani a Walford suggested that when the available Human Services are <br /> listed on the website, it should be noted that those Human services with contracts can be contacted <br /> directly by I lashpee residents. Ms. Il alf rd added that Human services information included on <br /> the Towyn website could be moved to the Human Services website. Channel gg is another possible <br /> source of publicity for the Human services Department, and ars interview show can be arranged, <br /> according to Army Davies at Channel gg. A $50 fee would be charged to nonprofit organizations, <br /> but would be free of charge to government agencies. Janie Walford was unclear as to whether the <br /> Human services Department would qualify for government status. <br /> • Director's Report—Gail Wilson <br /> Joyce Mason has stated that her office forwards Gail Wilson's monthly reports to the Board of <br /> Selectmen. A discussion took place about the format of the monthly-report, and modifications will <br /> be made. <br /> 0 Thank You Note from Mashpee Village <br /> Gail Wilson reported receipt of a thank you note from Ma hpee Village Emergency Food closet for <br /> the Human Services C rami ee donation of food products to the I lashpee pillage Emergency Food <br /> Closet. The note was signed by Karen Ryan, I lashpee Village. Gall Wilson will include receipt of <br /> this note in her monthly report. <br /> • Payment of Invoices from contractors <br /> Gail Wilson stated that one year ago: all the Human services contracts were standardized. <br /> However, regarding compensation, the contract states that each agency must submit an invoice <br /> every 30 days. Some agencies submit contract invoices quarterly, in order to reflect the percentage <br /> of work completed through the end of the quarter; other agencies submit monthly. A few agencies <br /> require reminder calls and ernails from Gail Wilson to submit their invoices for payment. <br /> Elinor Glener made a motion that contractors' invoices will be paid upon receipt of statistics of <br /> I lashpee residents served. Janice Walf rd seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously <br /> approved. <br /> • Hoarding Task Force <br /> Gail Wilson reported that hoarding is now included in the sl l- . The Mashpee Hoarding Task <br /> Force is comprised of Glen Harrington, Board of Health; Caren Ryan, Mashpee pillage; Darlene <br /> Perkins, senior Center, Ed Murphy, Elder services; Mary Aran Murphy, Professional Organizer; <br /> Tara carline, Police Dept. Gail Wilson stated that a training session had been held. The task force <br /> discussed the possibility of having more training with first responders at some point. Gall Wilson <br /> will discuss with the Town Manager. A Hoarding Task Force Resource Guide has been completed <br /> and approved by Joyce Mason and the Town Attorney, and is available to the public. . <br /> Gail Wilson stated that the forayer Mid-cape Hoarding Task Force has changed its name to the <br /> Cape cod Hoarding Task Force. The Ma hpee Hoarding Task Force is a separate entity and <br /> serves l as h pee only. <br /> 0 Truancy Program in Ilashpe schools <br /> Gail Wilson reported that the truancy program in Mashpee Schools is continuing to request her <br /> presence at their meetings. Ms. Milson has responded by stating that her job description limits her <br /> involvement in the school truancy program. Cathy Mohler-Fara recommended that Gail Wilson <br /> respond to the school by stating that she has consulted with the Human Services Committee, and <br /> 2 <br />
