Human Services coordinator's Report <br /> Gail Wilson distributed copies of her monthly Coordinator's Report. Highlights include the following: <br /> a Ms. VVilson decided not to request a change in her office hours; they will remain from 8:30 <br /> All to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. <br /> b Food Drive wiII be scheduled for Monda , Oct. 21 5, at the Town Meetin . <br /> c Ids. Wilson reported that she is very much enjoying her attendance as liaison to the Human <br /> Rights hts Com ission meetings. The committee meets at the Court House on Mondays from <br /> 5:30P 1tc7:30PM. <br /> d Ms. Wilson met with School Superintendent Brien Hyde who has been encouraging <br /> counselors to call about different issues. <br /> e Fuel Assistance Prog�arn will begin on November I t. Training for the program was Feld on <br /> September 18th. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> Ike: Falmouth service center. Lynne Waterman stated that in the past the Center would accept <br /> medical equipment donations from a Mashpee resident for distribution only to Falmouth residents. A <br /> recent phone call from a Mashpee senior reported that the Falmouth Service center would distribute <br /> back to Mashpee seniors. Ms. Waterman rman questioned whether the charge in policy was a result of <br /> I la hpee's increased fund donations to the Falmouth Service Center. <br /> Re: Access to 1 NA funds. Lynne Waterman n inquired about access to IIIA funds for various <br /> programs. Gail Wilson referred Ms. Waterman to the Board of Health for funding for Weight Loss <br /> programs. <br /> Fie; Mary Scanlan Resignation. Mary Scanlan announced her required resignation from the <br /> Human Services Committee as of November 15th, as she would be moving from Mashpee to <br /> relocate to a retirement community in South Yarmouth. The move from Mashpee is the result of the <br /> lack of a retirement community available in the Town of Mashpee. Elinor Glener recommended that <br /> request for an exception to the regulation that committee members must reside in Mashpee be <br /> granted in this case, inasmuch as Mashpee has no retirement community available at this time. <br /> .lance Walford will follow up with this request to Board of Selectmen Chairman John J. cahalane. <br /> Re: By Laws.
