PERSONNEL BOARD NIEETING <br /> A4E9UTES OF JANUARY 1 , 1995 <br /> PAGE 2 <br /> Ston Levine asked it the Chief thought eight paramedics were sufficient? The Chief <br /> responded rr*no,, two paramedics are needed on duty twenty-four hours a day." <br /> The Chief indicated that he wi continue to keep his paramedic certification current. The <br /> Town will get something for nothing. He went on to say that the State statutes require <br /> two paramedics on the ambulance. He said that paramedics are in high demand and that <br /> the department was continually losing them to other de aratents ager the Town <br /> provides the training. Nancy Caffyn mentioned that they could put language in the <br /> contract stating that they would have topay the Town back, <br /> The Chief pointed out that the top lieutenants in the Fire Union Contract are getting <br /> $5,,000 more. ori the P.A.P. pays a differential o $2,900, He suggested taking out the <br /> wording in the P.A.P. "'if there is an adequate number". He said that if the amount were <br /> around $4,000 he would be happier. The-$2,900 was similar to the firefighters contract <br /> at one ti <br />
