She said that in trying t give the <br /> Town the average f each position it is the classification plan that is driving this. <br /> Positions share certain amounts of responsibility and those positions should be paid in <br /> the same range. <br /> Bob W. commented that the data is extremely limited and does not address what is going <br /> on. Meg Ryan said that the comparable worth is overall to this study. Bob commented <br /> that the red flags should be identified. We should try to address these items in terms of <br /> comparable worth. They need to give the consultant direction to set those positions <br /> better into the program. Bob W. commented that we have what consultant recommends <br /> s an overall plan and it is a pretty sand plan, Then we should move forward and adopt <br /> it and develop methodology so that we will have the technical capacity so that we can d <br /> analysis to male sure positions are in the right place so that we can male some <br /> adjustments. <br /> Joe Dellagala said that he would like to get instructions on the system they used. Meg <br /> Ryan said that a position will change constantly and they would give us the materials t <br /> use to review the positions. Joe D. commented that we need the procedure and <br /> education on hove to maintain it. <br />! Bob W. said that they have posted the to meeting warrant and it requires that we file <br /> the proposed compensation plan with the Town Clerk, Also, the Finance Committee is <br /> recommending against it with no reason now. Carole asked about waiting until October.. <br /> Bob W. suggested that the Board meet with the Board ofSelectmen and try to get <br /> support for it at the May Town Meeting. If it is not given, they could try to get a <br /> commitment for the October Town Meeting. Marilyn commented that it should then be <br /> retro-active to July 1. <br /> Bob W. requested data from Meg Ryan for the Board of Selectmen prior-to the April <br /> 24th meeting. The Personnel board will meet again next Wednesday, April 19, t <br /> review the changes discussed. They will distribute job descriptions to the Department <br /> Heads. Donna said that she would like to review the job descriptions with her liaisons. <br /> The Board will also meet on April 20 at 9:30 a.m. to review the proposal again with the <br /> consultant to confirm that everything has been covered. Joe asked that Marilyn prepare <br /> a breakdown of the events of the process since the October Town fleeting. <br />
