I submitted the Brewster
contract last month and haven't heard yet.
• I attended the annual LIHTC training with Spectrum last month.
• DHCD will be here tomorrow for our annual PMR (Property Management
Review).
• Our AUP (Agreed Upon Procedures) is scheduled for December 10.
• Quarterly financial reports went in for Asher"s Path and Great Cove
Community.
• I've been asked to sit on two panels at the MassNAHRO fall conference
which is in Natick December 3 and 4. Pros and Cons of Management
Agreements and Succession Planning.
• The Asher's Path budget has been submitted to MassHousing and MHIC
(they have 2 different versions).
• We received the MHIC report for our annual review. I'm working on that and should
have for review/adoption next month. There are no substantial changes
because we do not have an LTO.
OLD BUSINESS:
A. CPC applications for funding. Mrs. Botsford reported that she did submit the two
applications for funding to the CPC. A copy of the applications have been provided to the
board. Mr. Halpern stated that there are currently 12 applications for CPA funds and there
may be more to come. Mrs. Botsford will attend the CPC meeting to review our applications
with the committee.
NEW BUSINESS:
B. Hearing Re uest: Mrs. Botsford provided the board with a letter requesting a hearing before
the board for an MRVP recipient whose assistance was terminated by the housing authority.
Mrs. Botsford reported that this person violated their obligations under the Massachusetts
Rental Voucher Program several times and Carol had several informal conferences with her
to try to resolve. A formal hearing was scheduled and this person's assistance was
terminated. She asked for a Grievance hearing. As part of our policy I met with her to try to
resolve the issues, but after reviewing all the facts in the case my decision was to move
forward with termination. At that point, she had a hearing with the Grievance Officer. The
Page 3 of 4
