<br />Conservation Commission Minutes <br />Thursday, October 11, 2018 <br />Mashpee Town Hall <br />Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> <br />Present: Dale McKay, Tom O’Neill, Brad Sweet, Charles Dalton, Stephanie Simpson, <br />(Associate), Marty Bregman (Associate) <br /> <br />Also Present: Andrew McManus (Conservation Agent), and Judy Daigneault <br />(Recording Secretary) <br /> <br />CALL MEETING TO ORDER: 5:55 p.m. <br /> <br />PRE/POST-HEARING AGENDA: <br /> <br />Minutes: Approve September 13, & 27, 2018 Minutes <br /> <br />Motion: Mr. O’Neill moved to approve the September 13, 2018 minutes, seconded by <br />Mr. Dalton. Vote 3-0-1 with Mr. Sweet abstaining. <br /> <br />Motion: Mr. O’Neill moved to approve the September 27, 2018 minutes, seconded by <br />Mr. Dalton, Vote 4-0 <br /> <br />Distribution: Materials submitted by Attorney Mark Tilden re: Gooseberry Island <br /> <br />The Agent distributed packets that each of the Commissioners received from Mark Tilden, <br />Attorney, regarding Gooseberry Island appeal. He said the summons has been forwarded <br />to town counsel. He stated this information will be discussed after the Commissioners have <br />a chance to review the information. <br /> <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br />(This space is reserved for topics that the Chairman did not reasonably anticipate would <br />be discussed). <br /> <br />HEARINGS: <br /> <br />6:00 Allison B. Bernhardt, 37 Birch Way. Proposed hazardous tree removal. RDA <br /> <br />Resource Area: Buffer zone to top of Inland Bank, Mashpee Pond <br /> <br />Allison Bernhardt, homeowner, explained there are two trees located on either side of their <br />house. She stated she would like to remove the two trees that are very large and could be <br />a danger to the house if the trees fell or branches due to a storm. The Agent reviewed the <br />areas where the trees are located on photos provided and agreed they are in close <br />proximity to the house and noted one of trees have problems with the root system. He <br />recommended a Negative Determination. <br /> <br />
