Proposed construction of coastal bank walkover structure. NOI Resource Area: Coastal Bank (Armored), Coastal Beach, LSCSF, Buffer to Land Under Ocean, ACEC Matt Creighton, BSC, represented the applicants. He described the proposed project involves the construction of a wooden coastal bank walkover structure. The installation will be constructed on the northern edge of the lot and will begin at the top of a stone embankment with a 4 x 4-foot landing which will be anchored using four wooden posts. The structure will descend the stone embankment and terminate at the ground level of the coastal beach. The structure will be installed by hand to reduce the impact to the surrounding resource areas. Mr. Creighton showed a picture of a similar structure that was installed at the neighbor’s property. The Agent noted ACEC was not on the plan and this should be added where Mean High Water is shown. The Agent reviewed photos of the property. He stated the project meets the performance standards.
