inkberry will need to be removed but will be replaced by native vegetation. The hardscape around
the pool is pitched toward a wide channel drain that wraps the entire patio and is piped into a
drywell outside the 100’ buffer. He reviewed the existing conditions, the area of construction and
the landscape plan. He said the project meets the performance standards.

The Agent reviewed the photos which illustrated the existing conditions, the driveway, access area
where there is existing stonewall and stone steps and the vegetated area near Fisher Pond. He
said the final proposal is keeping everything outside of 50’ setback from bordering vegetated
wetland. The mitigation that is proposed is more than adequate. He reviewed the Board of Health
comments that the lot is limited to three bedrooms and please inform the applicant a septic
inspection is required prior to building permit sign-off.

No comment from the public

Motion: Brad Sweet moved to Close and Issue, seconded by Mr. Shaw. Vote unanimous 4-0

PRE/POST-HEARING AGENDA:

Update: Herring Run

Everything is running very smoothly and at Santuit with the fixes Marine Fisheries made to that
ladder, they are coming up regularly. Mashpee looks like its going to be a front runner this year.

Update: John’s Pond Cleanup

He stated the John’s Pond Cleanup by the 4x4 Adventures went very well. There is one remaining
pile so DPW will be handling that next week which will wrap up the John’s Pond Cleanup.

Update: Shellfish mitigation calculations on Cavossa property, 345 Monomoscoy Road

The Agent has been working with Brian Everett to come up with some calculations. He got some
information from the Town of Dennis where they have a very detailed breakdown based on square
footage of piles and shellfish habitat. It goes through a point system that gets translated into a
monetary amount. We will be sitting down to do some calculation for Cavossa and will share this
with the Commissioners. It was discussed adding this to the bylaw which will involve town meeting
approval and if it is a regulation change, it involves posting and a public meeting.

Update: Wetlands violation, off road camping/illegal access, South Cape Beach State Park

The Agent reported there was a wetlands violation of an unauthorized vehicle at the end of Wills
Work Road. Over the weekend, the Shellfish Constable was out on the water and noticed a truck
with a family out past the parking lot out on the beach. The harbormaster confronted them with the
police which told them to get out immediately which they did. One of the rocks was moved wide
enough for a truck to get thru and you can see the tire marks going all the way down the beach.
The tracks went through the salt marsh and destroyed some dune habitat. We took pictures and
shared them with the Ranger because it is South Cape Beach State Park so they will be issuing a
citation, Mashpee Police will be issuing a citation and Conservation will be issuing a citation in the
amount of $300. The Agent stated the harbormaster suggested creating some concrete sonar
tubes out there because they can’t be moved.

Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Smith. Vote unanimous 4-0 Meeting
adjourned 7:35 p.m.
