RESUME <br /> Mark N. Gurnee <br /> Dr. Gurnee has over 30 years experience in the electro-optics field. He has excellent technical <br /> assessment, execution, and leadership skills in a broad range of electro-optic technologies.His work has <br /> ranged from electro-optic materials growth and device fabrication to integrated circuit design for large <br /> detector array readout to sensor design and test. In each of these areas he has both personally conducted <br /> research and development, and has managed these efforts.His work has gained national recognition, as <br /> he was selected as Vice Chairman and then Chairman of the InfraRed Information Symposium Detector <br /> Specialty Group. He is well known and respected throughout the industrial and government community <br /> through both technical and management interactions. <br /> EDUCATION: <br /> BS: Physics, California Institute of Technology, Cum Laude. <br /> MA: Princeton University. <br /> PhD: Princeton University. Thesis: The Effect of a Magnetic Field on the Diffusion of an Electron-Hole <br /> Plasma. <br /> Post Doctoral Studies: Brown University, Semiconductor Physics. <br /> Post Doctoral Studies: Boston College, Semiconductor Physics. <br /> CAREER EXPERIENCE: <br /> .2009—Present: Member of the Mashpee Conservation Commission. Working to apply the <br /> protections of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Mashpee Bylaw to water resources <br /> within the town of Mashpee. Member of a subcommittee reviewing and updating the Mashpee <br /> Conservation Regulations. <br /> 2003-Present: Consultant. Working as subcontractor within a firewalled section of Lockheed Martin to <br /> assist the US Government in assessing status and progress of numerous development programs. <br /> 1991-2003: Loral,then purchased by Lockheed Martin,then purchased by BAE SYSTEMS. Chief <br /> Engineer—IR Focal Planes. Managed the IR Development group of over 100 Engineers and <br /> Technicians with annual budget over$20,000,000. Responsible for design fabrication and test of all <br /> cooled IRFPA products.As technical lead for new business development,prepared successful technical <br /> approaches leading to award of over$100M of new business from numerous government and industry <br /> sources. Member(1987-on) and then Chairman(1994-1996) of the IRIS Detector Specialty Group, <br /> responsible for organizing,leading, and documenting this classified national government/industry <br /> conference on IR sensor technology. <br /> 1972-1990: Honeywell. Staff Engineer, Senior Staff Engineer,Engineering Fellow.Responsible for <br /> design and test of scanning and staring IR focal planes. <br /> Over 40 publications on infrared components. Five patents in the area of IR focal planes. <br /> SECURITY CLEARANCES: <br /> Secret,others. <br />
