The Chair stated that the.application could be submitted if the rules changed. Mr. Lombardo <br /> suggested that the application he assembled could be forwarded to the Cape Cod Commission for <br /> other uses or to a Congressman to request additional funds_ Mr. O'Hara stated that he supported <br /> the technology initially suggesting that he now supported it less since Mr. indicated <br /> that there may be better uses of the funds and recommended that there may be other grant fund <br /> available in the future for the FRB project_ Mr. "Hara recommended that Mr. Lombardo seek <br /> support for the technology from other towns and to seek additional funds from the State. Mr. <br /> O'Hara did not support asking the Town to pursue the 2%loan. Mr. Lombardo responded that <br /> the Commission, the County Delegation and representatives should pursue seeking additional <br /> funds for the technology from the State and that he had made every effort to integrate <br /> communities o see the value of the technology., Mr. Lombardo recommended that the <br /> Commission make a decision noir whether or not the Commission wished to pursue the grant <br /> again because the rules would not become available until after the applications were accepted. <br /> Recommendation to' oS Regarding Appointment to vacant Sewer Commission At-Large <br /> Seat i <br /> Chairman Fud al a reported that Torn Counsel confirmed that it would not be legal to meet in <br /> Executive Session to discuss the Commission's recommendation. Town Counsel's decision was. <br /> provided to Commissioners in their packets. W.Marcelli stated that both candidates were <br /> qualified and noted that although one vacancy was currently available, another vacancy could <br /> become mailable and recommended that the candidate not chosen should consider re-applying at <br /> that time. 1 T. Marcelli recommended Ms. Hosford to the Commission because she would <br /> provide a new perspective to the issue and a ling curve that may offer a more objective <br /> opinion, although both candidates would be fantastic assets to the Commission. Mr. Lyons <br /> agreed that both candidates would be effective,but that there was no time to grow Into the job. <br /> Mr: Lyons stated that Mr. Gurnee had technical experience with major positions in both business <br /> and science and that he comprehended the problem with a background <br />
