EIC <br /> Minutes <br /> October 24, 2011 <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Update on Com r Iggity Opportunities Group workshop: <br /> In preparation for the development of a Five Year Business Plan, the EMC Board <br /> met with representatives of the Co Ynunity Opportunities Group and Larry Doff <br /> Associates earlier this month to discuss and review referrals relative t <br /> proposed stakeholder interviews, and strate i ed on potential opportunities and <br /> industries that may benefit the Town of Mashpee in developing a self-supporting <br /> ERIC. <br /> With regards to the workshop session, it was noted that all supporting material has <br /> been furnished to the Community Opportunities Group. Where has also been <br /> discussion With the Mashpee Wampanoa Tribal Council,and it was disclosed <br /> that Quan Tobey and Chuckie Green,Tribal members have agreed to provide <br /> information to assist the Community opportunities group with their analysis and <br /> P1 anning services. <br /> It was noted that a guided tour of the Town of Mashpee was provided to the <br /> contract representatives to review commercial and industrial areas for potential <br /> economic development. It is anticipated that a meeting would be scheduled upon <br /> review of the Five-Year Action Plan to gain public input. fn.accord with contract <br /> specifications, the date of the final document delivery is I overnber'1 5, 2011. <br /> &eport on Meetin *th.Town Counsel: <br /> An ad hoc-committee of the EMC Board met with Town Counsel, Patrick <br /> Costello last week to review the draft Request for Proposals(RFP) for the project <br /> labeled as "Town of Mashpee—Proposal for Assisted Diving Dousing Project"., <br /> Members of the EMC Board reviewed the draft RFP dated October 20, 2011. It <br /> was agreed the document would correctly reference the ERIC as the Mashpee <br /> Economic Development and Industrial Cgmoration,, and reference the parcel as <br /> Commercial Street where appropriate. <br />
