The new
site in the Mashpee River on the south western side of our grow out areas is where most
of the oysters have been transplanted from this year. All of these oysters are from our
2016 remote set(2,000 bags) order from the Dennis Aquacultural Research Corporation.
The Director and I presented our water quality improvement data at the Cape Cod
Coastal Conference this year. In 2017 the data gathered from our Mashpee Monthly
Water Quality Monitoring Data showed a total nitrogen reduction in Little and Great
River as well as Hamblin Pond. These findings are directly related to our increased
shellfish seeding efforts in the area.
No violations to report for the month of November 2018.
