He stated the application is available in his office. He
stated in the near future voters will have the opportunity to vote to see if they want to
extend the CPA funding and if this is not the case, that would be the last funding source for
purchasing land for open space.
The Agent updated the Commissioners on the Gooseberry Island appeal which will be held
on November 15 at 1:30 at the end of Punkhorn Pond Road. He stated he will post this as
a public conservation meeting in the event all of the Commissioners want to attend.
HEARINGS:
6:00 Thomas Smith (Applicant), 1437 Great Hay Road. Proposed aquaculture
project in Great River. Owner of record United States of America. At request of
applicant, continued from 3/22/2018 to allow time to obtain local and state permits.
NOI
The Agent stated that the applicant has requested a continuance to 1124119 at 6:00 p.m.
He noted the applicant has to get a series of approvals including the Board of Selectmen
and Division of Marine Fisheries prior to coming before the Conservation Commission.
There was a discussion on whether to allow the applicant the continuance or to request he
withdraw his application. Since there was a question as to whether or not he would have
to pay the fees again, the Agent stated he would need to research this and the consensus
was to grant the continuance.
No comment from the public
Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to grant the continuance to 1124119 at 6:00 p.m., seconded
by Mr. Dalton. Vote unanimous 4-0
