Conservation Commission Minutes <br /> Thursday, November 15, 2018 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Present: Dale McKay, Tom O'Neill, Steve Cook, Stephanie Simpson, (Associate), <br /> Marty Bregman (Associate) <br /> Also Present: Andrew McManus (Conservation Agent), Katelyn Cadoret, Assistant <br /> Conservation Agent and Judy Daigneault (Recording Secretary) <br /> CALL MEETING TO ORDER: 5:55 p.m. <br /> PRE/POST-HEARING AGENDA: <br /> No comment from the public <br /> Minutes: Approve Minutes October 11, 2018 and October 25, 2018 <br /> Motion: Mr. O'Neill moved to approve the October 11, 2018 minutes, seconded by Ms. <br /> Simpson Vote 3-0 <br /> Motion: Mr. O'Neill moved to approve the October 25, 2018 minutes, seconded by Mr. <br /> Bregman, Vote 3-0 <br /> • Enforcement Updates; New Seabury Properties/Coastline Drive coastal bank <br /> stabilization project and Popponesset Island Road storm water drain —salt marsh <br /> impacts -- Postpone to December Meeting <br /> • Update: Upper Quashnet Restoration/AFCEC <br /> • Update: Outcome of DEP Superseding on-site — Gooseberry Island ANRAD/ORAD <br /> The Agent reported on the on-site meeting on Gooseberry Island ANRADIORAD. He said <br /> when an applicant requests specific resource areas under an ANRAD, it doesn't dismiss the <br /> existence of other resource areas that are present. He stated the Commissioners' decision <br /> was appealed to DEP by the Tribe and neighboring abutters. The appeal stated that coastal <br /> beach, coastal dune, tidal flats also existed on the island. They had some questions of <br /> determining the slope of the coastal bank around the island. The DEP representative took <br /> testimony from all sides and went on island to verify the resource areas. He noted it normally <br /> takes a few weeks for a decision to be made. He reported he stated at the meeting if there <br /> is other information that is pertinent that needs to be vetted out as far as how the delineations <br /> were arrived at or changes to the delineations or if additional resources areas need to be <br /> added, the Commissioners would be fine with that and we are not disputing the outcome. <br />
