COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> MEETING DECEMBER 12, 2018 <br /> MASHPEE SENIOR CENTER <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members: David Egel, Marijo Gorney, Jean Noussee, <br /> Virginia McIntyre, and Council on Aging Director Lynne Waterman and Outreach <br /> Coordinator Lauren Haddad <br /> Absent: Mary Gaffney, Norah McCormick <br /> Chairman David Egel opened the meeting at 9:05 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: November 14, 20'18 minutes <br /> Motion: Jean Noussee moved to approve the November 14, 2018 minutes, <br /> seconded by Marijo Gorney. Vote unanimous 3-0-1 with Virginia McIntyre <br /> abstaining. <br /> Public Comment— None <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Director's Report <br /> The Director distributed her report for the month of November. She highlighted she <br /> met with several leaders of various ongoing activities. She noted the special events <br /> that were held during the month which included the talks on World War 1, SHINE, <br /> Medicare Open Enrollments and the Thanksgiving cooking demonstration. <br /> The Director noted the New Activity Coordinator began her duties in November. <br /> The New Activity Coordinator, Julie Silva, introduced herself to the Council on Aging <br /> members and briefly reviewed her background'. <br /> The Director thanked the Mashpee Garden Club who planted daffodils on the grounds <br /> of the senior center and noted several repairs and inspections were made to the <br /> building. She also noted the ridership on the van was strong during the month. <br /> The Director reviewed several meetings she attended. She stated she participated in <br /> meetings of COAST (Cape Cod Senior Center Directors) and Elder Services of Cape <br /> Cod and the Islands and COAST and the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority. She <br /> and staff met with a group of front desk volunteers. <br />
