Call Meeting to Order <br /> Chairman Carol Sherman opened the meeting at 6:00 <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes--April 24, 2018 <br /> Motion: Pamela McCarthy moved to approve the April 24,2018 minutes, seconded by Patrice <br /> Pimental. Vote unanimous 5-0 <br /> 3. New Business <br /> Review Seasonal Sign Code for May Town Meeting <br /> The Chair distributed the current Sign Bylaw—Article X and the proposed amendment Section 174-57 <br /> Seasonal Signs to be included for a vote at the May Town Meeting, <br /> The Board reviewed the amendment and made several changes: <br /> Change Seasonal Signs to Tourist Season Signs <br /> Change Date that such signs are allowed from March 1 to April 1 <br /> Add"will be given" following the sentence that reads"Upon Design Review Committee review, <br /> a permit from the Building Department ..... <br /> Add"no fee". <br /> Change all references to Seasonal to Tourist Season Signs <br /> Under Section 174-57A, 42, Add the word"signs" following the words"Sandwich signs"plus <br /> add"per sign" following"24 inches by 36 inches". <br /> Under Section 174-57 B Location, add the words"sight view" <br /> Under Explanation: change "summer months"to "tourist season signs" <br /> The Chair noted this was taken off the October town meeting because of inconsistencies and will be <br /> voted at the May Town Meeting. The fines will be: First offense warning, Second offense $50 per sign, <br /> per day, Third offense $100 per sign,per day and if the business doesn't pay the fine, they will be going <br /> to court. The Seasonal Sign Code will be reviewed at the next meeting. <br /> 4. Old Business <br /> Discussion—SCORE Workshop with Businesses <br />
