Fond and Estuary Water Quality Monitoring: Update <br /> Rick York stated we are continuing their routine monitoring. <br /> SPOTS <br /> Conservation Department Report: <br /> atel n Cadoret reported the torn recently acquired funding from the Mass Wildlife <br /> Habitat Management Grant to do more prescribed burning/mechanical thinning at the <br /> Holland Dill section of Great Hay load. It's part of the Conservation strategy for the <br /> New England Cottontail Management Flan. It will be dependent on site conditions as to <br /> when and where the exact work will tale place; it needs to be completed by Mune 30th. <br /> We will be collaborating with the Library on a grant they received which is part of the <br /> STEM program. She will update further at the next meeting <br /> Land stewards Program: Update <br /> Amen ores is continuing their trail clearing and trail step work'at Santuit Fond. <br /> Interactive Trail Mapping: Update <br /> More videos will be done of the trail system by 118 Group. <br /> Herring Run Fish Ladder Improvements: Herring Counts: No update <br /> Vehicle Damage to and Dumping on conservation Lands: No Update <br /> Quasbnet Kiger Restoration/Realignment Project: Update <br /> 1 atelyn Cadoret read a statement Dreg McManus, conservation Agent, on the update <br /> of the Quashnet River Restoration Project. "Unfortunately, we have hit a snag with the <br /> funding from the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC). AFCEC has been trying to <br /> work with the Air Force contracting center to finalize the funding. A lawyer from the Air <br /> Force has questioned the use of funding for restoration work. The Conservation <br /> Department has supplied ample information on the restoration work that is,needed and <br /> AF EC is on our side. They know that they are responsible for addressing the filed <br /> berm and the impacts to the upper Quashnet as a direct result. We have submitted a' <br /> copy of a signed agreement ent between the Air Force and the Town of ll ashpee that <br />
