HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 201.8 <br /> Committee Members Present: Also Present: <br /> Lynne Waterman Director Gail Wilson <br /> Veronica Warden <br /> Lynne Barbee <br /> Frank Fantasia <br /> Absent: <br /> John Calahane <br /> Mary Bradbury <br /> Ebony Steele <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice-Chairman Lynne Waterman called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS—None <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Review of minutes from August 16, 2018 <br /> Motion: Veronica Warden moved to accept the minutes of August 16,2018, <br /> seconded by Lynne Barbee. Vote 4-0 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion--Human Services Contracts <br /> The Director stated she sent out the applications for funding contracts on July 16 to the <br /> agencies and as a courtesy, she sends a reminder in September. Everyone responded <br /> except for Fairwinds. There was a discussion as to whether to post the applications on <br /> the town's website for the community. It was agreed to hold this discussion until next <br /> spring because the budget is already set for 2020. The Director stated the committee <br /> would have to establish guidelines. <br /> The Director distributed the list of proposed Human Services Contract Funding for FY <br /> 2020 which totaled$46,592.00 of which$799 was previous awarded to Fairwinds, Since <br /> Fairwinds did not respond it was suggested to increase the Sight Loss grant to $750 and <br /> increase Aids Support Group to $982.00. <br />
