Motion: Frank Fantasia moved to approve the funding requests as listed except to <br /> increase Sight Loss Grant to $750 and Aids Support Group Grant to $982.00. <br /> Seconded by Veronica Warden. Vote unanimous 4-0. <br /> Update—Mashpee Substance Use Task Force <br /> The Director gave an update on the Mashpee Substance Use Task Force. Falmouth is <br /> looking to publicize the Drop-In-Night in Falmouth. They want to see the response of the <br /> Falmouth residents and then decide if they want to hold their own Drop-In-Night or work <br /> together with.Mashpee. She said it is taking time for people to know we moved to the <br /> library and we really need the marketing piece, David DelPonte has joined the Task <br /> Force and has offered to help with the marketing. We also have established a business <br /> subcommittee to work on developing a tool kit for businesses, In addition, the Bourne <br /> Substance Free Coalition will be replicating our business forum and opening it up to <br /> every business on Cape Cod on October 25 at the Upper Cape Tech. There was a <br /> discussion on having Mashpee TV do a marketing piece to further promote the Drop-In- <br /> Night, The Director thanked the Task Force and everyone that helps out, along with <br /> Cape Cod Coffee and the school who provides all of the food. <br /> Director's Report <br /> The Director reviewed several meetings she attended. She noted she attended the <br /> Affirmative Action Subcommittee which will be called The Inclusion and Diversity <br /> Committee. She is also the town's rep for Mashpee Human Rights Commission. <br /> Motion: Lynne Barbee moved to accept the Director's Report, seconded by Frank <br /> Fantasia. Vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> This space is reserved for topics that the Chairman did not reasonably anticipate <br /> would be discussed. <br /> NEXT MEETING SCHEDULE—October 18,2018 <br /> She invited Don Howell, Sight Loss Services, to the October meeting and <br /> Big Brother Big Sisters wants to come to the November meeting, <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion: Veronica Warden moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Lynne <br /> Barbee.
