He said he is working on
opening the changing stations.
Additional Topics
Report on Wills Work Road
Representative Vieira gave the background on Wills Wok Road. He said a site visit has been scheduled
for May 24 with the Commissioner and his staff, Town Manager, Police Chief, Fire Chief and a
representative from the Advisory Committee. They will look at the road and discuss how to go forward
and how to continue to get to advocate it in the Capital Budget Plan. He said last week they had a bond
hearing and made sure the earmark was in there and hopefully within the next couple of weeks we will
release it to the House for a vote and then to the Senate so by the end of this formai session which is July
1 we should have a new environmental bond bill;. He noted there are public safety issues as well as the
public amenity aspect. He said he will be asking for graders and trucks to fill the holes to get us through
this season. There was a discussion of redesigning the road and the redirection of the road and then
figure out the control point.
He also noted this was a priority of the Selectmen and noted the deed for the transfer of the 10 acres of
land that went to the town is not recorded.
Committee Organization
The Chair asked if any one of the committee members would like to take over the role as Chairman.
It was the consensus of the members that Jeri Smith continue as Chairman and Joe Bohnenberger
as Vice Chairman and to appoint Mike Sweatman as Clerk.
Thank You from Ina
The Chair read a thank you note from Ina. It was generally agreed to ask Ina if she wanted to become a
member of the committee. There was a discussion regarding soliciting committee members and the years
of appointment for each member. The Chair will be contacting the Town Clerk for clarification.
Mr. Bohnenberger moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Palmer. Vote unanimous 5-0
Vote unanimous 5-0
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be June 26, 2018.
Respectfully submitted,
Judy Daigneault
Recording Secretary
2
