MINUTE ......JANUARY 8, 2015 <br /> MA HPEE AMERICANS WITH DI AB TIFES AC's COMMITTEE <br /> I ASHPEE TOWN BALL 2:00 p.m* <br /> Present: Robert Wooldridge, Charles Maintanis, Michele Brady, Kathleen Moore <br /> Also present Michael Mendoza-, Building Commissioner, Marylou Palumbo, Director of <br /> Chamber of Commerce <br /> Called to order: The meeting was called to order at 2:05 p-m� by Chairman Robert Wooldridge <br /> Mary Lou Palumbo, Director of Mashpee Cbamber of Commerce, gave the members an update <br /> on the Guide Book. Most of the Chamber business members are handicap accessible and some <br /> are not applicable. There are other businesses that are trying to remedy their situation and we <br /> will list for those businesses how they are accessible. This will definitely be in this year's <br /> guidebook. Mary Lou said before it goes to print she will bring it to the members for their <br /> approval. The guidebook doesn't go to print until .April. <br /> Approval of November 1 , 2014 Minutes <br /> Lotion F Bob Wooldridge moved to approve the November 13, 2014 min Utes with two <br /> minor change, seconded by Charles Maintanis. vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> There was a discussion on the legislation regarding remote participation and when and if signed <br /> MOIL will send out information on how it applies to the individual committees: Kathleen Moore <br /> noted.the Mashpee Selectmen presently have a remote policy and should the legislation be <br /> passed the Selectmen's policy would be amended, The Selectmen's policy requires a quorum be <br /> present but other members could participate remotely. <br /> Bob noted May town meeting warrant is being workers on and the deadline for submissions is the <br /> last Monday in February. There was a discussion on the Quashnet School entrance which is still <br /> not fixed. It was noted this would be a capital improvement. The School Committee would need <br /> to originate the request for the capital irnprovement+ Michele said DPW has been good about <br /> addressing some of these issues. Bob will tally to Catherine and the principal. Mike suggested <br /> sending a letter to Catherine Laurent, the principal and Joyce Mason about looking into the issue. <br /> Michele said this improvement would be for the town's benefit since it would allow public <br /> access. <br /> Mr. Wooldridge suggested getting rid of the cobblestones near the doorway at town Miall. Mike <br /> Mendoza said it may be the case where they can fill in the spaces a little more thus eliminating a <br /> bumpy ride for wheelchairs. <br /> Michele asked about the beach access. Bob said nothing can be done until the spring. Bob <br /> explained one beach is a state run beach and the other is the Mashpee town beach, Every time <br /> there is a storm the town has to rebuild the parking lot.
