As
noted, the Mashpee Middle/High School Running Track Reconstruction project has been
withdrawn by the Department of Public Works. This project is being considered by the Capital
Improvement Program Committee (CIP) for funding in conjunction with the school's artificial
turf project.
The purchase of 9 Quashnet Road is being reconsidered for the acquisition of open space and
passive recreation purposes. The process would require language authorizing the Board of
Selectmen to acquire this parcel by purchase or by eminent domain authority. Funds from the
May 2015 project are encumbered within the reserves of the Community Preservation
Committee.
