COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> MEETING JUNE 13, 2018 <br /> MASHPEE SENIOR CENTER <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members: Marijo Gorney, Jean Noussee, Virginia <br /> McIntyre, Mary Gaffney, Norah McCormick, Council on Aging Director Lynne <br /> Waterman and Outreach Coordinator Darlene Perkins <br /> Absent: David Egel <br /> Acting Chairman Marijo Gorney opened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May 9, 2018 <br /> Motion: Jean Noussee moved to approve the May 9, 2018 minutes, seconded by <br /> Virginia McIntyre. Vote unanimous 5-0 <br /> Public Comment— None <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Director's Report <br /> The Director distributed her report for the month of May. She highlighted several <br /> ongoing activities. She said she and the Activity Coordinator met with a volunteer <br /> instructor for a new series of foreign language classes. The Director met with a staff <br /> member from the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission who will be at the senior <br /> center beginning in June. She also met with a new volunteer to plan a future group for <br /> seniors with family members experiencing cognitive and/or physical challenges and with <br /> a volunteer who will conduct the Buried in Treasures Workshop series beginning in <br /> August. <br /> The Director stated she and the Outreach Coordinator and the minibus driver met for <br /> their monthly meeting. The van required a minor repair and the Cape Cod Regional <br /> Transit Authority notified her that Senior Center may receive our new van in June. <br /> The Director stated the annual inventory of the building was completed and submitted to <br /> the Town and the semiannual inspection of the kitchen exhaust system was completed. <br /> The Council on Aging staff attended a workshop on Understanding Yourself and Others. <br />
