Activity Coordinator's Report <br /> The Director distributed the Activity Coordinator Report for the month of May. She <br /> noted several programs which included "Out of Africa", Dine Around and several health <br /> and wellness presentations by the VNA. She noted they are starting up a Speaking <br /> French Class, arts and crafts classes and a Tai Chi Class. <br /> Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Activity Coordinator's Report, <br /> seconded by Virginia McIntyre. Vote unanimous 5-0 <br /> Volunteer and Program Support Coordinator's Report <br /> The Director distributed the Volunteer and Program Support Coordinator Report for the <br /> month of May. She noted the Kindergarten students from K.C. Coombs School came to <br /> the senior center to sing for the Seniors. She noted she is looking for new volunteers for <br /> new activity/positions and her upcoming goals is to provide support to ensure a <br /> successful Volunteer Recognition Breakfast and work on securing volunteers as <br /> . needed. <br /> Motion: Virginia McIntyre moved to accept the Volunteer and Program Support <br /> Coordinator's Report, seconded by Jean Noussee. Vote 5-0 unanimous <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> The Director noted the Council on Aging Directors of Cape Cod met with the Cape Cod <br /> Regional Transit Authority on the transportation needs of seniors on Cape Cod. <br /> Age Friendly Massachusetts <br /> The Director reviewed Age Friendly Massachusetts and also Healthy Aging Cape Cod. <br /> This is a regional group formed to create a Regional Age Friendly Cape Cod. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> UPDATE: Massachusetts Association of Councils on Aging/Executive Office of <br /> Elder Affairs <br /> The Director noted the State is working on the formula grant and there is no final figure <br /> yet. <br /> The Director stated that the Massachusetts Association of Councils on Aging have a <br /> grant money and she applied for money for hearing devices. <br />
