Ms. Shufelt <br /> discussed the evaluation of the proposers, and scoring sheet, noting that a point criteria was not <br /> referred by the Inspector General. It was advised to instead use comparative evaluation criteria., <br /> unacceptable, advantageous and highly advantageous categories. Additionally, should interviews or <br /> presentations be considered, all candidates would need to be interviewed or allowed to present. <br /> Mr. Willard inquired why the proposal was for 30 units and FIs. Shufelt responded that there were <br /> topographical issues and wastewater constraints. Mr.Abbott inquired about naming a project and Ms. <br /> Shufelt responded that the names were changeable. Mr. Willard inquired about the status of the project <br /> and Ms. Shufelt responded that it was currently being reviewed by the Zoning Board for their 40B <br /> permitting,two years after the RFP. It was hoped that the project would be funded in 2018. Chairman <br /> Isbitz noted that an aggressive affordable housing prod ect typically took four to five years,requiring <br /> careful coordination for the varying timelines and funding Windows. regarding evaluation, the Chair <br /> suggested that point system would hest communicate the town's priorities. Selectman O'Hara <br /> gg a <br /> suggested that it would be beneficial for the Committee to develop a schedule for a timeline of <br /> deadlines. The Chair stated that the developer would be establishing the timeline. <br /> Ir. Willard inquired about how the Cape's affordable housing offerings compared to the rest of <br /> Massachusetts. Ms. Shufelt responded that she had found pockets of communities pursuing affordable <br /> p <br /> housing and areas of resistance,but that the Cape was doing well. At present,FIs. Shufelt was <br /> worki with provincetown, Truro,Bamstable, l ashpee and Bourne in some stage of affordable <br /> g <br /> housing development. <br /> 243 Cotuit Road Prooral-The Chair reached out to Mr. Pena and would be seeking an update <br /> P <br /> p <br /> rior to the next meeting <br /> Main Street.Village Proposal, Charles Tattle-The Chair indicated that some concerns had <br /> � p <br /> been expressed by the Board of Selectmen. Mr. Taylor confinn.ed that he had been in touch with Mr,, <br /> Tuttle regarding issues that needed to be addressed by the Zoning Board of Appeals prior to moving <br /> g g <br /> forward with the proposal, <br /> Mashpee Commons Chapter 40Pro ect-The next visioning meeting would be held during <br /> tomorrow's PlanningBoard meeting, Ir. Abbott attended the prior meeting and felt it was well done. <br /> g <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> Proposed 2018 Meeting Schedule-No meetings were scheduled for January or August. There <br /> was consensus to maintain the schedule of the first Tuesday of the month, except for November, due to <br /> Election Day. <br /> Mr. Willard made a motion' that this be our meeting schedule for 2018+ Mr.Abbott <br /> seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> DHCD Subsidized Mousing Inventory-The Chair stated that DH D's Subsidized Housing <br /> Inventory typically represented cornplet%,d housing, except in the case of Chapter 40B,which was <br /> added once fly permitted. It was noted that there may be a correction of the 52 Mashpee Commons' <br /> units. Ms. Shufelt confirmed that the units would be removed if there was no building pertnit acquired <br /> 2 <br />
