Joe D, recommended <br /> further research be conducted by the Board and Marilyn Farren. <br /> Discussion with Bob Whritenour Executive secretor <br /> -chairman Dellagala raised concerns with the Union now in negotiations <br /> and in place with regards to the P.A.P. He also asked questions <br /> with regards to the Personnel Boards' future with the placement of <br /> the new union. Bob W, reassured the Personnel Board of the important <br /> role they play in the community, that the union favors the Personnel <br /> Board's continuim and the strong need for the Personnel Board, He <br /> further added that he had not tallied to -the Board of selectmen with <br /> regards to the Personnel Board's role with the union in place. Bob W. <br /> brought up the subject of entra l i- ed Documentation,, that the state <br /> law says we should have Centralized Documentation. Chairman <br /> Dellagala suggested the Personnel Board contact the town of Falmouth <br /> and gather information with regards implementing this in the town of <br /> Mashpee. He also added that the Personnel Board would like to <br /> conduct exit interviews with non-grievance related Mashpee personnel, <br /> and the importance of keeping good personnel in place. It was <br /> further added that Marilyn Farren, Personnel Administrator, be <br /> available to answer questions regarding Per onnei matters to Mashpee <br /> personnel, in an open door type policy. Also that Department <br /> Managers be informed that their department personnel be allowed to <br /> seek information and advise from the Personnel Administrator, <br /> The following changes were discussed and rewritten in the Board's <br /> Action Pian <br /> No. (eight)- Should now read: "All town employees should have the <br /> free to consult with the Personnel Administrator regarding <br /> personnel problems during working hours to help solve whatever <br /> problems -exist. These problems should be held confidential. <br /> Employees should consult with managers as to the time of <br /> appointment. " <br /> No. 10 (ten)-Should now read: "In order to gather- data to improve <br /> our personnel -system, the Personnel Board will attempt to conduct <br /> exit interviews when employees leave the employ of the 'own. " <br /> The title -should also refle t Action Plan for Personnel Department <br /> verses Personnel Board. <br /> Bob W. mentioned that Mashpee will become an Affirmative Action <br /> community. He added, that Affirmative A tion policies had been <br /> obtained from Wareham, and Bourne, He requested that the Personnel <br /> Board help to establish -a► draft Affirmative Action polio and move <br /> forward to adopt it. He further added that getting an Affirmative <br /> Action policy was a priority concern of his. Chairman Dellagala <br /> mentioned the Personnel Board would welcome the opportunity to get <br /> this policy established for Mashpee. <br />
