MINUTES <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION <br /> TUESDAY,NOVEMBER 27,2018 <br /> POPPONESSET MEETING ROOM <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> 6:00 p.m.—Convene Meeting in Open Session <br /> Members Present: Carol Sherman,Pamela McCarthy,Robyn Simmons, Patrice Pimental, Glenn <br /> Thompson <br /> Absent: Denise Dutson, Gene Olson <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Chairman Carol Sherman opened the meeting at 6:03 <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes—October 30, 2018 <br /> Motion: Pamela McCarthy moved to approve the October 30, 2018 minutes, seconded by Patrice <br /> Pimental. Vote 3-2 with GlennThompson and Robyn Simmons abstaining <br /> 3. New Business <br /> Mary Lou Palumbo,Executive Director, Mashpce Chamber of Commerce—Not Present <br /> 4. Old Business <br /> Review Seasonal Sign Code for May Town Meeting <br /> The Chair referred to the changes on the draft of the proposed amendment to the Sign Bylaw—Article X <br /> and proposed amendment Section 174-57 Seasonal Signs to be included for a vote at the May Town <br /> Meeting. <br /> The Board reviewed the amendment and made several changes: <br /> 1. In all districts, no temporary on-premises sign or other temporary on-premises advertising <br /> device shall be permitted except as follows: <br /> a. The design and location of all temporary/seasonal signs attached to or associated with <br /> a commercial property or use shall be subject to approval of the Building <br /> Commissioner following design guidelines approved by the Planning Board. <br /> b. Except as provided in Section 174-57.1,the Building Commissioner may approve <br /> temporary signs attached to or associated with a commercial property or use from <br /> April 1 through December. <br /> c. Temporary signs associated with a non-commercial property, dwelling or use not <br /> exceeding 12 square feet may be placed in all districts. <br />
