Qualified Exemptions to Persons see attached list E0440l - <br /> Gregg Fraser motioned to grant the Exemption Applications on the attached list labeled <br /> E-0427201 7-G Paul Andrews seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE: Yes- <br /> Roll call Vote: Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes <br /> Recognition of Sheldon Holzer's service on the Board of Assessors <br /> Chairman Andrews and Vice Chairman Fraser praised Sheldon Holzer's many years of <br /> excellent service to the Board of Assessors. They noted that his great dedication to the Board <br /> hes served the Town of I lashpee well, Both expressed that Sheldon would be greatly missed <br /> and thanked hire for his manor contributions to the Board of Assessors. <br /> Topics added to the addenda: <br /> Director streebel stated that two items had recently surfaced too late to have been included on <br /> the agenda and that both were time-sensitive and recommended their addition to the agenda. <br /> Item I: Verizon Settlement agreement; Item : Motor Vehicle abatement for Mark Benoit <br /> Gregg Fraser motioned to add the two agenda items* Paul Andrews seconded the <br /> motion. <br /> VOTE: 'des- <br /> Rol I call Vote: Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes <br /> Verizon Settlement Ag ement: <br /> Director Streebel presented for approval a final negotiated settlement agreement between <br /> Verizon and the comm rissioner of Revenue that would grant approximately #coo in <br /> abatements covering three years of appeals. This agreement obligates the Board to utilize the <br /> Commissioner's Valuation method for the next year and removes the obligation for the towns to <br /> pay interest on the abatements. <br /> Gregg Fraser .motioned to approve the settlement Agreement. Paul Andrews seconded <br /> the motion; <br /> VOTE: Yes- <br /> Rol l call Vote: Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes= <br /> Motor Vehicle abatement ap ation for Mark Benoit— 11 bane Road. Director Streebel <br /> explained that Mr. Benoit did qualify for abatement but as he is a member of the office; it is the <br /> Board's policy to present all employee abatement applications to the board for an official Grote. <br /> Gregg Fraser motioned to grant the Motor Vehicle Abatement Application for Mark <br /> Benoit* Paul Andrews seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE: Yes- <br /> F oil call Vote: Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes <br /> - - <br />
