Motion: Mr. Shaw moved at the applicants-request to continue the hearing to <br /> March 9 at 6:00 p.m., seconded by Mr. McKay. vote unanimous 5-0 <br /> 6:21 Heath and Tara Carey, 113 .dames circle. Permit existing seasonal dock. <br /> RDA <br /> Resource Area; Land Under Water Bodies and Water Ways (Johns Pond) <br /> Bill Sells, represented the applica'nts., He said the property is under contract and they <br /> are looking for a permit for the existing dock. The Agent noted there is a waterways <br /> license from the State of Massachusetts associated with the dock. This dock was <br /> previously licensed as a I OA float. The dock has a chapter 91 license and this hearing <br /> allows the commission to get the dock footprint on record. The Agent conditioned the <br /> property address needs to be displayed from all separable portions of the seasonal dock <br /> in perpetuity. <br /> No comment from the public <br /> Motion: Mr. shave moved for a Negative Determination, seconded by Mr. McKay. <br /> Vote unanimous. -o <br /> PREIPOST HEARING AGENDA <br /> The Agent shored some graphics of the GIS map of the Santuit River, Sampson's Hill <br /> Road and Mashups stable. <br /> UPDATE: Mashpee Herring Run dredge— release of funds. <br /> The Agent said the sediment at the Mashpee Herring Run has been cleaned out and is <br /> ready to go for the herring migration season which was paid for out of our maintenance <br /> fund. He said the next order of business is to deal with the sediment loading outside of . <br /> the ladder outside of Mill Pond itself and the channel that connects Mill Pond to <br /> Mashpee Pond where a tremendous amount of sediment has built up. Catherine <br /> Laurent, DPW Director, has been looking at solutions. There is a company Beacon <br /> Marine that has equipment they can use to dredge this area. Their original quote is <br /> $5300 but it will change because they met with Division of Marine Fisheries and they <br /> recommended that they create a deep sump area which will improve flushing and flow <br /> which will alter the cost of the project. The Agent said he will have a revised quote at the <br /> next meeting if we decide to go in this direction. The Division of Marine Fisheries is <br /> going to develop an operations and maintenance plan for the Mashpee Herring run (as <br /> r well as santuit andQuashnet) and will also be installing a staff gauge at the <br /> Quashnet/Johns Pond fish ladder for the purposes of establishing a benchmark <br /> elevation for grater level. <br /> UPDATE* Land Steward cleanups at Quashnet River and John's Pond. - <br /> I atelyn cadoret and a volunteer cleanup up of debris and removed shopping carts from <br /> Quashnet river and John's Pond. <br /> a <br />
