t <br /> The Agent noted it is a coastal dune environment and there are some barren areas that <br /> can be filled in with beach grass which is the more appropriate area for mitigation._ He <br /> said this is a situation where chapter 172 bylaw waiver standards apply. He reviewed <br /> the standards for the waiver and stated it meets the waiver criterion since the project <br /> scope is minor. Proposed mitigation will enhance the existing coastal dune habitat with <br /> additional beach grass plantings. He recommended approval of the application , <br /> No comments from the public <br /> Motion: Mr. Moray moved to Close and Issue, seconded by Mr. shave. Vote <br /> unanimous 5-0 <br /> 6:15 Gooseberry Island Trust, 0 Gooseberry Island, Request confirmation of <br /> existing resource area delineation. Applicant Requests Withdrawal of application, <br /> RDA <br /> The Agent stated the applicant has requested to withdraw their application. The Agent <br /> stated they have to show the delineation of the coastal bank as defined under Chapter <br /> 172 Regulation 16 and delineate areas of bordering vegetation wetland on the island. <br /> The applicants didn't grant to trouble the commission or the abutters with continuances <br /> because this will be a time consuming process so they decided to withdraw and when <br /> they are ready, they will resubmit their application. <br /> Motion: Mr. Moray moved to accept the withdrawal of the applicant from the <br /> Gooseberry Island Trust, seconded by Mr. shave. Vote unanimous 5-0 <br /> 6:18 Russell Lowe and Daren A. O'Rourke, 11 Harbor Ridge give. Proposed <br /> Amendment to order of conditions 43-2900 to allover for patio expansion. AOOC <br /> Resource Area: Buffer Zone to coastal Funk, Bordering Vegetated Wetland, salt <br /> Marsh <br /> Michael Talbot, Environmental Landscape Consultant, represented the applicants. He <br /> said the commissioners heard this project on January 12 in which they approved a crista <br /> pruning permit In perpetuity. It is a very lame buffer zone which is over 1 oo'from the <br /> wetland to the landscape area to the house. The new owner has made a request to <br /> enlarge the patio in the back. He noted the outline of the patio on the plan. He noted <br /> the vinka minor (ornamental vegetation) is escaping into the woodland areas which will <br /> be removed in its entirety and will be replaced with native vegetation. <br /> The,Agent commented there was no mention of fill being brought in. Michael said they <br /> may have to put in retaining gall. The Agent said these details need to be shorn on the <br /> plan and recommended the applicant request a continuance to get a reprised plan. The <br /> plan should include dimensions of the retaining gall, materials and side profile vier of <br /> the retaining gall. <br /> Michael Talbot requested a continuance in order that a reprised plan is submitted <br /> No comments from the public <br />
