He stated Don Liptack from Natural Resources Conservation Service under <br /> USDA, was on hoard when there were two projects approved by the commission. One <br /> was stormwater remediation at the end of Mashpee Neck Road which received grant <br /> funding from NR S, We visited the site and Don said it appears to be performing well <br /> but there are yearly maintenance issues that need to be adhered to. The ether stop was <br /> the antuilt mond Fish Ladder. He noted we have been working on a better fix to the <br /> ladder and this year the conditions were improved with the amendments made but it <br /> can't goon forever. The fish ladder has too manor pools and when we get the early <br /> spring flow the herring can get half way up the ladder and most of thorn are sent back <br /> down the ladder. The pools are not long enough and the turbulence affects the entire <br /> area of the pool so they don't have a chance to rest. The Agent said he made that <br /> known to Don and he is going to assist in getting people back together to take a look at <br /> what type of permanent fix can be made to the ladder. He commented he has a lot of <br /> video to show ghat the evidence is. It is a matter of getting everybody in the room to <br /> see what the next steps are going to be. <br /> HEARINGS: <br /> 6:00 Janene S. Burro 8 capstan circle. Proposed-hardscape improvements.
