Taylor was directed by the Board to continue discussions with the <br /> homeowners of Leamington Lane to develop a long term solution <br /> to correct the road drainage problems. <br /> in n f T m Laborer.- <br /> Mr. <br /> rr- <br /> Mr. Taylor recommended the Board appoint Martin R. Ahern to the <br /> position of Temporary Laborer. It was noted the Mr. Ahern worked for <br /> the Torn last summer, and is able to begin work on May 5, 1997. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to appoint Martin R. Ahern <br /> o the position of Temporary Laborer as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> Unanimous. -o. <br /> It was noted that an additional vacancy for the above position exists and <br /> will be duly advertised by the Personnel Burd, and presented to the <br /> Board of Selectmen for consideration. <br /> DPW Agi5toce to Privateleo • <br /> Selectman Cafyn suggested the Board develop a policy to assist citizens <br /> residing on private roads. What can residents expect from the Department <br /> of Public Works asked Selectman Caffyn? <br /> In response,Mr. Taylor indicated that the Department of Public works <br /> maintains the Town beaches,Heritage Park, all Town owned buildings, <br /> and boat landings. <br /> Selectman Costa recommended to promote neighborhood clean-up, and <br /> entice residents by offering brush disposal free of charge on selected dates <br /> in an effort to provide assistance to residents residing on private roads. <br />
