He represented Mr. Lopez, 103
Meeting House Road who is proposing to get the ConservationCommission's approval
to swap an equal sized portion of privately owned land for conservation larnd. currently,
there is a house on 103 Meeting House Road and they access the property thru a
driveway easement and the utilities are run from Great Oak Road down the bank across
the river to feed the Lopez house, We have a situation where there is currently
conservation land where privately owned land surrounds it. The applicants are looking
to give the town the land adjacent to the rive-which is in the inner and cuter riparian
zones. The area would be difficult to develop and would have better environmental
benefits if preserved. He explained. this is a long process. We are asking for the
Conservation Commission endorsement to approve the concept. He said he wanted to
be clear the Lopez#s want to develop the area for family members, We then have,to
bring the proposal to the Selectmen to get their approval, go to torn meeting, go to the
State House then come back to Planning Board. We are requesting the scrapping of
3.72 acres which is an even swap. Following a discussion"on the topography of the
land, the Agent illustrated the land to be swapped on maps provided. He stated an
opportunity to have continuous land that protects river habitat that is currently private
property is the most beneficial aspect. There was a discussion also on the wildlife
