Thomas O'Neill, Dale McKay,, Bud Shaw <br /> Staff Present: Drew McManus (Conservation agent) and Judy Daigncault(recording <br /> Secretary <br /> CALL MEETING To ORDER: 5:55 p.m. <br /> The meeting was called to order with a quorum by Chairman Brad Sweet at <br /> 5:55 p.m. <br /> There was no public comment <br /> PRE/POST-HEARING N AGENDA: <br /> MINUTES: Approve June 8, 2017 Minutes. — Hold until July 1 <br /> Blue castle [give conservation Restriction tion —Signature Requlred <br /> The Agent stated this is a conservation restriction previously voted on and signed by the <br /> Chairman. He noted on a slide the area of town these areas were created. This is an <br /> area that is currently under development and these parcels are to be set aside for open <br /> space-with a conservation restriction placed on then. The holders of the CR peed to <br /> have all of the Commissioners signatures. <br /> Vote: To abandon cranberry cultivation at Garner Farley Bogs <br /> The Agent stated these begs are in the Childs Fiver conservation Area. one is called <br /> the Garner Bog and the other is Farley bog mostly in the Town of Falmouth with a sliver <br /> in Mashpee. Mr. Bottornly in the past rept the hogs in working order but ultimately didn't <br /> sign into a contract. The Agent was requesting a vote from the Commissioners to <br /> abandon the Garner Farley Bogs. The Falmouth Rod and Gun Club is looking at gays <br /> they can do restoration on the Farley Bog and possibly on the Garner Bog. lender Mate <br /> regulations if a cranberry bog remains fallow for more than 5 gears it loses its exemption <br /> status under the Mate DEP so now it is a wetland resource area that receives more <br /> protection under the Mate and local wetland protection acts. The Agent was requesting <br /> a vote on recon to abandon cranberry cultivation on Garner~ bog and the town owned <br /> Portion of the Farley bogs. <br /> Motion: Mir. McKay moved to abandon cranberry cultivation at the Garner and <br /> Farley Bogs, seconded by Mr. Shaw. vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> HEARINGS: <br />
