COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> JULY 125 2017 <br /> Present Council on Aging Members; Jean Noussee, Mari]o Dorney, David Egel, <br /> Irving Goldberg, Council on Aging Director Lynne Waterman, and Outreach Coordinator <br /> Darlene Perkins. <br /> Absent: Mary Gaffney,Norah McCormick, Virginia McIntyre <br /> hairman David Egel opened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES—June 14, 2017 <br /> Motion: Irving Goldberg moved to approve the minutes of June 14, 2017, seconded <br /> by Jean Noussee. vote 4-0 <br /> Public Comments <br /> COMMUNICATIONSAND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> DIRECTOR"S REPORT <br /> Director Lynne Waterman distributed her report for the month of,lune. The Director <br /> highlighted she met With several leaders of arious ongoing activities. She met with the <br /> staff from the visiting Furse Association of Cape Cod to schedule programs under the <br /> town contract ' <br /> The Director and Activity Coordinator met with a possible instructor of a fitness class <br /> and a new volunteer who is interest in facilitating a discussion group for World War II <br /> Veterans, She noted the "Whose Your gent"talk conducted by staff from Cape Cod <br /> Healthcare was covered by the Boston radio station WGBH, <br /> The Director stated the van swap with the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority was <br /> completed. <br /> The Director thanked the DPW for several small repairs they nude including fixing the <br /> floor of the men's room bathroom. <br /> The Director thanked all who made the annual volunteer Recognition event held in June <br /> so successful. Approximately 180 Council on Aging and Library volunteers attended. <br /> r <br /> The Director completed the annual evaluation of the Principal Clerk and is still working <br /> on filling the van driver's position. <br /> i <br />
