g <br /> a <br /> The Director reviewed a list of several meetings she attended.- She also participated in <br /> the Elder Services of Cape Cod's annual fair for agencies that work with elders on Cape <br /> Cod. She spoke at a press conference with the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority, <br /> representing COAST (Cape Cod Senior Center Directors). New initiatives developed b <br /> the CCRTA to benefit seniors on Cape Cod were announced4 <br /> The Director stated her goals are-to plan 201 formula grant and review proposed 2018 <br /> goals with Town Manager and to begin the process of implementing the goals. <br /> Motion: Jean Noussee moved to accept the Director's report, seconded by Marijo <br /> Dorney. vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> TREASURE,R'S REPORT <br /> Dim;tor Waterman distributed the end of fiscal year budget report and reviewed the <br /> numbers with the members. <br /> Motion: Irving Goldberg moved to accept the Treasurer's Report, seconded by <br /> Jean Noussee* vote unanimous 4-0 <br /> OUTREACH COORDINATOR' REPORT <br /> Darlene Perkins, outreach Coordinator, distributed her report for the month of.lune. The <br /> Outreach Coordinator noted it has been very busy and she has been working with seniors <br /> on feel assistance, bass Health applications andIA applications. The Outreach <br /> Coordinator suet with the domestic violence officer from Iashpee'Police Department. <br /> She noted our Reaching Seniors Program met with 4 seniors.. <br /> The outreach Coordinator meets monthly with volunteers. 5 Mashpee residents turned <br /> 90+during the month and received flowers delivered by Council on Aging volunteers. <br /> There were 24 Brown Bag participants with 5 volunteers. <br /> The Outreach Coordinator stated she is working with a volunteer offered a presentation <br /> on Ageism, Consciousness-Rai sing and decided to have an event on July 19 to play <br /> croquet. <br /> She reviewed several meetings she attended one of which was the Mashpee Substance <br /> Use.Task Force and Subcommittee. She stated the first Substance Use Drop in Dight was <br /> very successful, In recognition of Elder Abuse month, Independence House presented at <br /> the Senior Center the Clothes Line project to educate seniors about Domestic violence, <br /> lotionto Irving Goldberg moved to approve the outreach Coordinator report, <br /> seconded by I ar"o Gorncy. vote unanimous 4-0 <br />
