Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> TE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> John Peters, Jr. was present to discuss the license application with <br /> the Board. Mr.Peters was directed by the Board to consult the <br /> Director of Public Works with respect to parking as it relates to the <br /> new irrigation system at Heritage Park. The rear parking lot of the newly <br /> renovated Town Hall facility was approved by the Board for additional <br /> parking if necessary for the Pow Wow event. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the Special <br /> Events application of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal <br /> Council, for the Annual Pow Wow to be held July 4, 5, and <br /> G, 1997 at Heritage Park, Route 130 Mashpee as requested. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye. <br /> TE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Letter of Recognition -Firefi h ter B oh nen ber er: <br /> Mr.Whritenour read aloud the letter of recognition and gratitude to <br /> Firefighter Daniel Bohnenberger for his efforts during a recent boating <br /> incident on June 10, 1997. (enclosed) <br /> Mr. Whritenour will draft a letter of appreciation to Mr. Bohnenberger <br /> for his efforts on behalf of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Letter from Dr.DeMoura requesting a meeting on Use of Facilities,-- <br /> Correspondence <br /> acilities:Correspondence was received from Dr. DeMoura, Superintendent of <br /> Schools dated June 6, 1997 requesting a meeting with the Board of <br /> Selectmen and Leisure Services Advisory Council to discuss existing <br /> policies and the Use of Facilities form. <br /> It was noted that the Leisure Services Advisory Council is presently <br /> reviewing existing policies, and is expected to make a recommendation to <br /> the Board of Selectmen. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to defer the above matter at this time. <br />
