Page 4 1 Board of Selectmen Minutes June 23, 1997 APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: Public Hearin -Willowbend Develo mens CoM. Alter of Premises: (continued) Motion made by Selectman Frye to approve the application of Willowbend Development Corporation, d/b/a Willowbend Country Club, David C. Southworth, Manager, for a Change of Description for their Annual Restaurant All Alcoholic Beverages License to include an Expansion of Premises; 73 tables and 500 chairs as requested. Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. YQTE: Unanimous. 4-0. Selectman Ma rsters abstained. PUBLIC COMMENT: Ben Gordon requested the Board review the safety of Route 28 in the area of Industrial Drive, and the new 28 lot subdivision. Mr. Gordon related concerns with respect to public safety due to a high spot or hump in the road of discussion. It is the consensus of the Board to request the Director of Public Works to review this matter with the Chief of Police and Fire, and State Highway Department, and return with a recommendation to the Selectmen. George Benway, Mashpee's representative to the Cape Cod Commission indicated that the CCC has reviewed the above matter, and has updated data and recommendations for additional consideration. APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: Public Hearin-Mashpee Wamuanoag Annual Pow Wow: Selectman Costa opened the Public Hearing on the Special Events application of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council,Inc. for the Annual Pow Wow to be held July 4, 5, and 6, 1997 at Heritage Park, Route 130, Mashpee. Mr. Whritenour,Executive Secretary read aloud the Public Hearing 10 notice as published. A Selectman Costa opened the Public Hearing to obtain comment. Being none, Selectman Costa requested a vote from the Board to close the Public Hearing.
