3 <br /> Page 5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 21, 1997 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Request for Signage. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to place the above topic <br /> as an agenda item of discussion, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Frye., <br /> YOTE. Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> The Board received a request from the Cape Cod Champions to post <br /> a 4 x 5' sign at the Mashpee rotary to advertise the 1997 Cape Cod <br /> Champions at willowbend. <br /> An additional sign is requested to be place at the Route 28 and <br /> Quinnaquisset Road junction. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the signage <br /> request of the Cape Cod Champions from August 13, 1997 to <br /> August 17, 1997 subject to the approval of the Director of <br /> Public Works. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VOTE, Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> In addition, correspondence was received for the advertisement of the <br /> 2nd Annual Irish Festival to be held on August 8,9, and loth at the Otis <br /> Air Base. Signage is requested to be placed at the rotary ten days prior to <br /> the event. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the signage <br /> request for the 2nd Annual Irish Festival. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> YQTE,,., Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Police Detail-Flea Market: <br /> Discussion followed with regards to police detail at the flea market. <br /> It was noted that police detail was not available during the past two <br /> weekends. *Agenda topic for further review. <br /> The matter relative to Donna's Lane as it relates to traffic congestion and <br /> the need for signalization will also be discussed. <br />
