.31 <br /> Page 8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> September S, 1397 <br /> NEW BUS!NESS: <br /> Lraf&St v Proposal for Acceptance: <br /> Correspondence was received from Edward Govoni, Charman of the <br /> Board of Appeals dated September 4, 1997 relative to the Traffic Study <br /> Proposals received in response to their Request for Proposals for the <br /> Dunkin'Donuts project. <br /> Three responses were received, and ranked in order of preference for <br /> the Selectmen's review and consideration. The proposal received from <br /> Tibbetts Engineering Corp. of Taunton was deemed highly advantageous <br /> meeting all specified proposal criteria. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to accept the <br /> recommendation <br /> of the Board of Appeals and award the Traffic Study bid <br /> to Tibbetts Engineering Corp. for the sum of $5,450. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> It was noted that all costs will be assumed by the proponent of the <br /> intended project. <br /> A=&=gnt of WgImmays Comnnssign M m r• <br /> Correspondence was received from Jim Hanks, Chairman of the <br /> Waterways Commission dated August 11, 1997 relative to the vacant <br /> seat on the Waterways Commission. <br /> Three candidates expressed interest to service the above commission. <br /> Letters of interest were received from Paul Lumsden, George Benway III, <br /> and Gerald Daly. <br /> It was unclear as to the number of vacancies on the waterways <br /> Commission. <br /> This matter will be placed on the next Selectmen's agenda after further <br /> review. <br /> L&Uer gf Resignation from the Economicm D vela nt Committeeg,• <br /> Motion made b Selectman Caffyn to accept the resignation <br /> y i <br /> of Cynthia M.
