Page 11 <br /> i <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes-revised <br /> March 4, 1996 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> R nest for Additional Com ensato Time: <br /> Communication was received from Greg Taylor,Director of Public <br /> Works dated February 23, 1996 requesting the Board allow him an <br /> additional(5) compensatory days to partially compensate for the personal <br /> time used during snow and ice related overtime. <br /> If approved,the days will be used during the next five months. <br /> Mr. Whritenour recommended approval. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the request for <br /> additional compensatory time as presented, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> VO <br /> T E: Unanimous, 4-0. <br /> Appointment of Affirmative Action Hearing Board Member: <br /> Selectman Dinizio, a member of the Affirmative Action Hearing Board <br /> recommended the Board approve the appointment of Melbourne Cragwell. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve the <br /> appointment of Melbourne E. C ra gwell to the Mash pee <br /> Affirmative Action Hearing Board as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> It was noted that(1)vacancy exists on the Affirmative Action Hearing <br /> Board. <br /> Performance Evaluations for Approval: Town Planner: <br /> Bgilding.Inspector: <br /> Selectman Caffyn related concerns with regards to the performance <br /> evaluation process. She recommended to allow the employee to sign off <br /> on evaluations before they are approved by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> It was noted that it is a Selectmen's policy not to review performance <br /> evaluations with employee's until they have been reviewed and approved <br /> of by the Board of Selectmen. Employee's have an appeal process, and are <br /> allowed to have input into their goals and objectives. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve the Performance <br /> Evaluation of Tom Fudala, Town Planner as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Dinizio, <br /> VQTE: 3-1. <br /> Selectman Caffyn in opposition. <br />
