He noted that he has worked with seven out of <br /> the ten filed sub bid contractors in the past. <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the proposed project alternates. <br /> Mr.Hoit indicated that D'Agostino Associates has agreed to maintain <br /> the ricin of the project alternates for 60-90 days until all demolition <br /> pricing g ,. . <br /> and site excavation work has been completed. After this time,the awarding <br /> authority has the option to consider incorporating the alternates into the <br /> project scope. . <br /> It was noted that alternate#1 contains work in the attic space for the future <br /> expansion of the Town Haac . Alternate includes the base work <br /> xP ll facility. #2 id <br /> for the sprinkler system, and alternate#3 will furnish the Town Hall with <br /> an emergency generator. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to reject the bid of Anchor <br /> Contractors, Inc. of Weymouth, MA due to not being <br /> responsive to the Chapter 149 public bidding requirements of <br /> p p <br /> the contract documents, and award the contract for the <br /> construction of the additions and renovations to the Mashpee <br /> - Town Hall to D'Agostino Associates, Inc., 46 Farwell Street, <br /> Newton, MA 02160 in the amount of $1,486,900. <br /> Motion amended by Selectman Costa to execute the contract <br /> with D'Agostino Associates, Inc. upon approval by <br /> Town Counsel, <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Mills. <br /> Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> I!Mosed Qggure fT fm.Mgve: <br /> M v <br /> Mr.Whritenoun req PP requested the Board approve the closure of Town Hall <br /> on Thursday,May 2, 1996 and Friday,May 3, 1995 for the purpose of <br /> moving Town offices into the temporary office facilities during the <br /> constructionP hase of the Town hall renovation/restoration project. <br /> that the Town Hall will remain open for general governmental <br /> It was noted P <br /> activities during time me to accommodate local residents. <br /> Selectman Mills to <br /> Motion made by approve the closure of <br /> Town Hall as requested on May 2, 1996 and May 3, 19960 . <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Costa. <br /> : Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
