Page 5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 8, 1996 <br /> JR/SRHIGHSCHOOL: <br /> Paul Griffin, Chairman of the High School Building Committee was present to discuss the progress of the new High School with members <br /> of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Jim Byrne, Clerk of the works was also present for discussion, <br /> hme d r#1 <br /> Mr. Griffin presented.Change order#19 to the Board for approval <br /> in the amount of$19,383.00. <br /> Change order#19 will provide for plumbing piping for the cafeteria <br /> roof drains,exhaust ductwork over classroom A-130,provide additional <br /> traffic signs, additional plumbing piping to the science laboratory <br /> casework,provide filter fabric at the leaching field of the WWTP per <br /> the Health Department's request,and provide a floor drain in the <br /> nutrition room for dishwater waste. <br /> In addition,Mr. Griffin recommended the Board approve CCD#18 <br /> (Change order Directive)in the amount of$30,000, and authorize <br /> the Chairman of the High School Building Committee to execute CCD#18 <br /> for the purpose of changing technology in the auditorium. <br /> Additional technology will include; a fire proof curtain,air conditioning, <br /> and adjustments in the control room. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Caffyn to approve Change Order <br /> #19 in the amount of $19,353 as defined, and CCD #15 in the <br /> amount of $30,000 as recommended. Total; $49,353. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters,, <br /> VOICE. Unanimous, 5-0. <br /> Mr. Griffin indicated that the Building Committee is committed to hold <br /> the uncommitted balance of$392,000 for the High School project. <br /> Potential change orders under review; <br /> Stage lighting-Auditorium $150,000 <br /> Dual Fuel Tanks-Installation $150,000 <br /> Mr.Griffin indicated that the Committee voted unanimously to table the <br /> above two items at this time. <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the potential change orders. It is <br /> the consensus of the Board to obtain further information with respect to <br /> the use and efficiency of dual fuel tanks. <br />
