Page 1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 8, 1996 <br /> Present: Selectman Dinizio, Selectman Costa, Selectman Frye, <br /> Selectman Caffyn, Selectman Marsters <br /> Executive Secretary Robert Whritenour <br /> Assistant to the Executive Secretary Joyce Mason <br /> Town Counsel Everett Marder <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Dinizio at 6:30P.m. <br /> Town HaU DgAiling--Committer,- Chan=Qrder# • <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa toplace the above as an <br /> agenda topic of discussion. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffy n. <br /> Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Communication was received from Jim Vaccaro, Chatrman Chatof the <br /> Town Hall Building Committee dated July 2, 1996 requesting the <br /> � g <br /> Board approve Change Order#2 in the amount of$13,300 for the <br /> removal and abatement of additional asbestos and lead paint discovered <br /> during the demolition process. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Costa to approve Change order #2 <br /> PP <br /> in the amount of $13,300 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> T Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> PUBLIC DISCUSSION: <br /> With reference to the Hearing scheduled on the Board's agenda, <br /> Mane Scalley indicated that Tom Fudala is the best thing that has <br /> happened to Mashpee. In her opinion,he is the best planner on Cape <br /> Cod. <br /> Mary Scanlon spoke of Mr. Fudala as a highly professional person who <br /> has done a beautiful job for the Town of Mashpee. <br /> E. <br /> With regards to the MMR Plume,Edward Baker indicated that he <br /> furnished a series of comments on the proposed plan, but has notet <br /> Y .f <br /> received an official written response to date. <br /> Mr.Barer noted that the Base has made comment that the subject is <br /> under discussion among representatives from Mashpee and the Water <br /> District, and that final decisions Will be available when the discussions <br /> have been completed. <br /> *The Board requested the Executive Secretary to further review this <br /> matter for clarification purposes. In addition, Selectman Dinizio requested <br /> to include the topic of MMR as a standard weekly agenda item of the <br /> Board of Selectmen. <br />
