Page 9 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 15, 1995 <br /> Town Dock: <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the proposed Town dock to <br /> be located on Seconsett Island,Little River. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Frye to support the construction <br /> of a Town Dock for official use only, to consist of four <br /> parking spaces, and one emergency vehicle space. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Caffyn. <br /> VQTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> 9:02 p.m. Recess 9:10P Meeting Meetin Resumed, <br /> NEW B S INES S: <br /> DPW Director re; Wheeler Road-Unpaved Portion: <br /> Communication was received from GregTaylor,Director of Public Works <br /> y <br /> dated July 3, 1995 relative to the maintenance of unpaved private roads. <br /> As noted, the.5 mile portion of Wheeler Road is in need of an annual <br /> maintenance program. If the Board of Selectmen would like the DPW <br /> to perform maintenance on unpaved private roads that serve residents, <br /> the sum of$2,000 is necessary for each road, each year. <br /> Mr.Taylor submitted a partial list of unpaved road that have received <br /> maintenance requests in the past. (17 roads) <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the taking of the roads and related <br /> betterment's. <br /> Jim Brown, a resident of Wheeler Road indicated that he supports the <br /> yearly maintenance program. He offered to notify the residents,and obtain <br /> necessary petition signatures to allow the Town to take wheeler Road. <br /> It was noted that Wheeler Road,located on,the edge of the Briarwood <br /> community contains approximately twenty homes. <br /> *Matter taken under advisement at this time. <br />
