Update <br /> No Update <br /> Pond & Estuary water Quality Monitoring Update <br /> Mr, Talbot noted there was no update. Mashpee Environmental Coalition hasn't started up its <br /> PAL monitoring progrm-n yet. Mr. McKay stated he is still interested in monitoring John'8 pond. <br /> The Chairs noted Santuit Pond is no longer eutrophic.- He said the solar bee circulates water and <br /> Deeps the phosphorous trapped in the sediment layer. The water clarity is up to two meters and <br /> has significantly improved. There was a discussion on the effect of the cranberry bogs-in the <br /> area and whether they are active or not. Katelyn stated she will check with theAssessor's <br /> off ce. <br /> Quashnet River Restoration/Realignment Project: Update <br /> Katelyri stated that the Conservation Agent has submitted a di"aft RFP for the Quaslmet River <br /> Restoration project and will be sending it out to eo nsultarlts"soon. He has been finalizing <br /> funding with the Air Force Civil Engineer Center plus looking at the reserve account for <br /> $850,000. The Conservation Commission will be reviewing the RFP at their meeting tomorrow - <br /> night. <br /> REPORTS <br /> Conservation Department Report: <br /> Laird Stewards Program Update <br /> r a.telyn stated she will be scheduling a meeting in May. She has been working with meri orps <br /> and they walled the Mashpee River and ren-ioved several bags of trash. All three rivers are in <br /> good condition. She thanked the AmeriCorps volunteers who have done a ton of work at the <br /> antuit Pond area, They will be working in the l aslapee lover Woodlands and working on the <br /> pollinator gardens in May. The Environmental Club from the High School will be putting{ up bat <br /> boxes. <br /> 2 <br />
