6 <br /> *DRAFT* Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 7, 2019 <br /> Board of Selectmen—Meeting Called to Order 6:11 p.m. <br /> Waquoit Meeting Room, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> MINUTES <br /> Monday,December 17, 2018 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Regular Session minutes of Monday, <br /> December 17, 2018 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed,,none <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> .Public Comment: None at this time. <br /> Discussion and Approval of Local Initiative Program (LIP) Local Action Unit(LAU Degrass <br /> Road—Habitat for Humanity, Elizabeth Wade: <br /> Elizabeth Wade, Land Acquisition and Permitting Manager for Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod <br /> was in attendance to request the Board support the Local Initiative Program (LIP) Local Action Unit <br /> for the Degrass Road community housing project in Mashpee. <br /> The LIP is a state housing initiative administered by the Department of Housing and Community <br /> Development to encourage communities to produce affordable housing for low and moderate income <br /> households. <br /> The Degrass Road property is part of a cluster subdivision. As a result of the condition of Special <br /> Permitting,the Planning Board required that one lot be donated for deed restricted affordable <br /> housing. Community Preservation Funds contributed $50,000 towards.this project which will <br /> enhance Mashpee in achieving its 10%threshold of affordable housing units. Habitat for Humanity <br /> plans to construct a three-bedroom home at the site location to be deemed affordable in perpetuity. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to support the Local Initiative Program Application; <br /> Local Action Unit as presented by Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman.Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br />
