7 <br /> *DRAFT*Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 7, 2019 <br /> APPOINTMENTS &HEARINGS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Award of Contract for Outdoor Area Lighting (Streetlights) Operation <br /> and Maintenance Agreement: DPW Director Catherine Laurent: <br /> Catherine Laurent, Director of Public Works was in attendance to recommend the Board award a <br /> contract to Siemens Mobility for Street Light Operation&Maintenance. It is suggested a three-year <br /> contract be awarded with the option to extend for up to two additional years. The annual contract for <br /> maintenance provides the Town with guaranteed service. The Town of Mashpee owns <br /> approximately 380 street lights and the contract for maintenance expired on December 31, 2018. <br /> Correspondence was received from Ms. Laurent dated January 2, 2019 with respect'to this regard. <br /> The bid from Siemens was deemed favorable and responsive. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to award a contract for Outdoor Area Lighting <br /> (Streetlights) Operation &Maintenance Agreement with Siemens Mobility as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> It was announced that a Legislative luncheon would be held at the Mashpee Public Library on <br /> January 12, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. —2:00 p.m. to review the Cape Libraries Automated Materials <br /> Sharing(CLAMS)program. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of TMpoLgy TemporarySign Permit A lication: Boys & Girls Club Annual Chili <br /> fest: <br /> Joseph Callahan was present representing the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod to request approval of <br /> a Temporary Sign Permit Application to announce the 4th Annual Cape Cod Awesome Chili <br /> Challenge scheduled to be held at the Popponesset Inn on January 26, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 <br /> p.m. Signage would be removed on January 27, 2019. This is a notable Cape event. Funds will be <br /> earmarked to the Boys & Girls Club and to the Falmouth Service Center.
