LJ <br /> Glen Harrington commented that the Chili Challenge is scheduled for January 21, 2017, at the Popponesset <br /> Inn. This is a fund raiser for the Boys and Girls Club and the Children's Museum, There are 23 participants. <br /> Glen Harrington and Veronica Warden reset with Kate Sampson, the Certified Food Manager for the event, and <br /> continued the requirements that were utilized for last year's event. All participants will prepare the chili from a <br /> licensed kitchen as all the food entries would be tasted by the public. Estia and the Bopponesset inn are two of <br /> the licensed facilities to be used. Major ingredients of each of the recipes will be posted at the table of each <br /> participant. <br /> Kate Sampson introduced herself to the Board. Ms. Sampson remarked that hand sanitizer will be present, and <br /> participants are aware of having a list of the ingredients available at their table. Also, the Kitchen of the Boys <br /> and Girls Club will be utilized to prepare the chili. Ms. Sampson will cheep to be sure the chili is Dept to <br /> temperature. 12 amateurs and 11 restaurants are expected to participate in the Chili challenge. <br /> Ed Sarno, a board member of the Cape Cod children's Museum, introduced himself to the Board. Mr. Sarno <br /> commented.that sternos are to be at temperature before the chili is brought to the table. <br /> Lucy Burton made a motion that the Board of Health approve the one day event permit for the Awesome Chili <br /> Challenge on January 21, 2017. Brian Baurngaertel seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously <br /> approved, <br /> NEXT MEETING <br /> The next meeting of the Board of Health is scheduled for Thursday,,February 2, 2017, at 7:00 PSI. As there <br /> was no further business, Lucy Burton, a member of the Board of Health for twelve years, made her final motion <br /> to adjourn the Public Session Meeting of the Board of [health at 8:12 PM. Brian Baumgaertel seconded the <br /> motion.
